James A. Ross says
Hi Carey family…it’s James Ross from Florida! I dont know how well you remember me, but the last time you saw me I was about 11 years old! I’m 19 now and am leaving on my mission in about 2 months. I’m going to the California Oakland Mission, and they actually assigned me to be an english-speaking missionary even though I speak both english and spanish, but I’m sure the spanish will come in handy. It’s exciting to hear that Mark’s on his mission right now, and he’s speaking spanish, that’s amazing. He was a very good influence on me here in Florida, I kind of wish that your family wouldn’t have moved, but I know that it was best for your family. I did recieve my Eagle Scout! Sister Carey was my 11 year-old scout leader. I graduated 10th in my class at Pinellas Park High School. I was the Deacons Quorum President, Teachers Quorum President, Bishops 1st Assistant, and I was also on the Stake Youth Committee, I’ve gained a lot of experience, and now I am going out with the missionaries and teaching lessons with them and also with the spanish-speaking sisters. My dad is the 2nd councelor in the Bishopric in the St.Petersburg Ward. My 3 older brothers all served missions: Joseph to New York Rochester; David to California Arcadia; and Richard has been in Peru Lima South for about a year now. Joseph just got married this past May in the Temple to his wife, Sarah. I hope everything is well with your family. I’d like to have Marks address so that I could send him a letter! You all take care!
James Ross
