Literary Loners Reading Challenge 2016
I was invited by the author of Whatever I Think Of! to join her new challenge and I am game! There are two options: characters or authors and I chose main or secondary characters identified as a loner, outcast, recluse, wallflower, or introvert. She did not prescribe levels so I just started being cognizant of identifying loners in my reading, and here’s what I found.
1. A Passage to India, E.M. Forster
2. The Mapping of Love and Death (Maisie Dobbs #7), Jacqueline Winspear
3. Wings of Fire (Inspector Rutledge #2), Charles Todd
4. Marysvale (Marysvale #1), Jared Southwick
5. Search the Dark (Inspector Rutledge #3), Charles Todd
6. A Corner of the Universe, Ann M. Martin
7. Cain His Brother (WIlliam Monk #6), Anne Perry
8. Dorothy Must Die (Dorothy Must Die #1), Danielle Paige
9. Salt to the Sea, Ruta Sepetys
10. Six of Crows (Six of Crows #1), Leigh Bardugo
11. The Anatomist’s Wife (Lady Darby #1), Anna Lee Huber
12. All the Light We Cannot See, Anthony Doerr
13. Thrice the Brinded Cat Hath Mew’d (Flavia de Luce #8), Alan Bradley
14. The Wicked Will Rise (Dorothy Must Die #2), Danielle Paige
15. Yellow Brick War (Dorothy Must Die, #3), Danielle Paige
16. The Scorpio Races, Maggie Stiefvater
17. Shiver (The Wolves of Mercy Falls, #1), Maggie Stiefvater
18. Linger (The Wolves of Mercy Falls, #2), Maggie Stiefvater
