I finished hand-sewing the binding to this quilt on New Year’s Eve, so it sneaks in as the last finish of 2017 and the 15th finished quilt for the year. I call it “Point the Way” and it’s a lap quilt which finished at 60″x60″. The fabrics don’t show the patterns as well in the photo, but they are all lovely, so I’m including a close-up of the prints below. From top to bottom, they are:
Pesto green with square dots is Sunday Supper by Sweetwater for Moda #5653-16
Blue with arrows (also the binding) is High Adventure by design by Dani for Riley Blake #C5555
Teal, Navy, Lime triangles is Sunday Supper by Sweetwater for Moda #5658-13
Multi-colored arrows (also the backing) is High Adventure by design by Dani for Riley Blake #C5551
Orange is The Treehouse Club by Sweetwater for Moda #5638
Teal with navy pattern is Sunday Supper by Sweetwater for Moda #5654-11
Navy with white triangles is Sunday Supper by Sweetwater for Moda #5658-22
Pesto green with crosses is Sunday Supper by Sweetwater for Moda #5657-16
Blue arrows are Kona Cotton solid
I was originally drawn to the High Adventure arrow fabric and wanted fabrics to complement the colors in the arrows so all the strip colors are found in the arrows on the print. It all ties together perfectly and looks great. Once again, this is my new favorite quilt. The pattern is “Wanderlust”, ATK-182 by Atkinson Designs. I had it quilted at Quilt Etc. in Sandy, using dark blue thread to match the solid pieced arrows, and the design is called “Wind Swirls” by Dave Dennis.
