Reading Road Trip Challenge 2015 wrap-up
Reading Road Trip Challenge 2015
Thanks to She’s Got Books on Her Mind for hosting. I did a challenge similar to this in 2012 and managed to get all the states with some work. Since then, I’ve kept track of my states each year in my regular reading and usually get more than half without trying. Because I read a lot of series that are set in the same locale and many books set in England, I don’t have a ton of diversity, so I set my goal for the Wayfarer: 21-30. Christmas quilts 2015
Now that Christmas is over I can do the big reveal of my recent finishes! The first is a lap quilt for Mark who loves all things beachy. I began it in January as a project with my quilting partner who made hers of bright pink, teal, and mustard prints with a white background. We worked on them every other week. The pattern is called “Pow-Wow” by Cluck Cluck Sew and I used prints from the “Shore Thing” and “Going Coastal” collections by Emily Herrick for Michael Miller fabrics. The gray pindot background is “Here Boy!” by Abi Hall for Moda Fabrics, the blue solid on the back is “Solids” by Polly Minick & Lauri Simpson for Moda Fabrics, and the binding is “Best.Day.Ever!” by April Rosenthal of Prairie Grass Patterns for Moda Fabrics. 2016 Reading Challenge post #3
Just can’t get enough of all the fun challenges going up for next year so I’m posting as I go this year instead of one massive post at the end of December. Some are old ones that I love and some are brand new because I like the mix. But I think this is the end. This makes 9 challenges, plus the 2 from Riedel Fascination that go until February 2016, so that is enough to manage! [Read more…] about 2016 Reading Challenge post #3
